Salted caramel pretzel brownies

Hey everyone!

The recipe for today is a recipe for Salted caramel pretzel brownies!!

Fudge brownie, salty pretzels and a delicious salted caramel.

In Sweden we have different pretzels, ours are shaped liked sticks, so just use the ones you have 🙂

I did this recipe for my co-workes to eat, so I hope they’ll like this suger-bomb, literally…

Ingredients:

Brownie:

  • 200g (7 ounces) dark chocolate
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 100g (2/5 cups) caster sugar
  • 150g (3/5 cups) brown sugar
  • 1tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 150g (3/5 cups) flour
  • 5tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 100g (2/5 cups) sour cream

Salted caramel:

  • 300g (1 1/4 cups) suger
  • 200g (4/5 cups) heavy whipping cream
  • 100g butter
  • 1tsp salt
  • pretzels

Instructions:

  1. Brownie: Pre-heat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Melt the dark chocolate and the butter over a dubble boiler. When melt, remove the bowl and add the caster suger, brown suger, sour cream, salt and vanilla extrakt. Add the eggs, one at a time, and fold the eggs gently.
  2. In a different bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Sift the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture. Carefully blend everything together. Line a bang tin with parchment paper, and bake the brownie in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. Salted caramel: Put the suger in a sauce pan. Melt the suger, it’s done when the suger has an amber color. Take the sauce pan off the heat. Add the heavy whipping cream and stir at the same time. Be carefully because it will start to bubble very vigorously.
  4. Add the butter and the salt. Put the sauce pan back on the heat and let it come up to a boil. Then let the caramel cool for about an hour.
  5. Put the salted caramel on top of the brownie and let set for a couple of hours. Add the pretzels and… voilĂ !

Instruktioner:

Brownie: VÀrm ugnen till 175°C. SmÀlt mörk choklad (200g) och smör (200g) i ett vattenbad. NÀr det smÀlt, ta bort kastrullen frÄn vÀrmen. Blanda i socker (100g), ljust muskovadosocker (150g), grÀddfil (100g), salt (1tsk) och vaniljextrakt (1tsk). KnÀck i Àggen (3st), ett i taget, och vÀnd i försiktigt. I en separat skÄl, blanda mjöl (150g), kakao (5msk) och bakpulver (1tsk). Sila i de torra ingredienserna till chokladsmeten. Blanda försiktigt ihop smeten. HÀll smeten i en form och baka i ugnen 15-20 minuter. LÄt svalna helt.

Salted caramel: SmĂ€lt sockret (300g) i en kastrull. Sockret Ă€r fĂ€rdigt nĂ€r det nĂ„tt en bĂ€rnstensfĂ€rg. Ta bort frĂ„n vĂ€rmen. HĂ€ll i grĂ€dde (200g) och blanda samtidigt. Var försiktig dĂ„ det kommer att bubbla kraftigt. LĂ€gg i smör (100g) och salt (1tsk). StĂ€ll tillbaka kastrullen pĂ„ vĂ€rmen och lĂ„t koka up. LĂ„t svalna i minst en timme. LĂ€gg pĂ„ brownien och lĂ„t stelna i nĂ„gra timmar. LĂ€gg pĂ„ pretzels, och… violĂ !
